Police Arrested Accused From Kanpur Who Murdered Person 31 Years Ago In Delhi – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

When the girlfriend’s father refused to marry his daughter, the accused, along with his father and uncle, killed the girl’s father. Later, all of them fled. Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested the main accused in the murder that took place 31 years ago in Narela area. The arrested accused has been identified as Prem Narayan (51), a resident of Banda, UP.

To reach the accused, the police officers of the crime branch disguised themselves as a caterer and a builder. Even after this, the accused was not coming in front of the police. After a lot of effort, the accused Prem Narayan was arrested from Kanpur. He was working as a mason in Kanpur city. The police is investigating the case by interrogating him. Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goyal said that on 17 September 1993, a person named Shambhu Dayal was killed by hitting him with bricks and stones in Narela area. The police registered a case of murder and started investigation. During the investigation, the police came to know that the accused Prem Narayan and his family lived in the neighborhood of Shambhu Dayal.

Prem Narayan became friends with Shambhu’s daughter. On Prem’s insistence, his father Babu Lal and uncle Chunni Lal asked Shambhu for their daughter’s hand in marriage. They wanted to get Shambhu’s daughter married to Prem. When he refused, the three accused killed him. Shambhu’s body was found the next day on 18 September 1993. All three accused were found absconding from their homes. The local police kept searching for the accused, but they could not find them. Meanwhile, Crime Branch Inspector Manmeet Malik, SI Ritesh Kumar and others got information that the main accused Prem was hiding in Kanpur City. He would come on 11 July for a relative’s wedding. The police team disguised themselves as caterers.

The accused did not reach there. Since the accused worked as a mason, the team became active in his area with the help of a local builder. A message was sent to the accused’s house talking about constructing a new building. But the accused sent his son there. Later, when the accused reached there after 48 hours to settle the money, he was caught.
